Have a Voice with State and National Agencies
S.A.F.E.R. serves as a voice for our member departments in shaping the development of standards for firefighter safety, protective clothing, and equipment. We provide valuable input to state and national organizations like CAL/OSHA, NIOSH, and NFPA. Your experiences are essential to improving these standards, ensuring they benefit both current and future generations of firefighters.

Through S.A.F.E.R., our members can work with manufacturers of equipment for the fire service on product research and development. Many of our vendor members have an active interest in the recommendations of firefighters to improve on current equipment, or develop new ideas.
